You need a near line of sight connection. Since our service covers a given area you do not need exact line of sight.

These are two open bands free to use in the spectrum. Omnispring uses 2.4Ghz to our hotspot clients and a combination of 5GHZ, Licensed Freq. and Fiber back to our customers and POP’s (Point of Presense).

What about security, can my data be intercepted?

Omnispring considers security a very high prioirty. We use the most efficient form of security. This encrypts all data traveling in the air or in the ground. Most common issues are due to the customers lack of protection inside their own network.

Is there an interference problem with other electronics?

It is very unlikely that our equipment will interfere with other devices such as phones, cell phones or other electronic equipment.

If you are in an apartment building and you have the ability to face the tower with a near line of site connection you can use our service, or we can lite-up the whole community.

How easy is it to increase my Wireless Internet speed?

Very easy. Just ask your sales person and Omnispring can increase your bandwidth in the same day. Faster speeds to the internet, in a snap.

What about lightning?

In some areas with high lightning probabilities we install lightning arrestors if our installers feel that it is necessary.

Will it interfere with pacemakers?

NO!!! There is not enough power outputed by our service to disturb a pacemakers operation.

Do I need to keep my second phone line?

NO. No need to a second phone line. Actually Omnispring offers phone service over its network to reduce your phone charges local, long distance and international long distance.

Is there a limit to the amount of data I can transfer?

Depending on the rate you purchase from us. Connections speeds vary on plans.

Do I get a static IP address?

You can get a static or dynamic IP depending on the plan you purchase.

Can I run a server on my Wireless Internet connection?

YES. You may run a server on your wireless connection. This is your bandwidth to do what you want (see AUP Acceptable usage policy).

Can I have my own wireless network at the same time?

YES. Our network will not interfere with your local wireless network.

How many computers can I hook up to my connection?

If you have a router you can hook as many as you want.

Can I share my connection with my neighbor?

NO. This is a dedicated connection for you only and cannot share bandwidth with neighbors.

How reliable is the service? Any service guarantee?

Our service is as reliable or more reliable than DSL or cable. We also have our own monitoring abilities to watch your connection.

Can I supply my own equipment?

You can supply a router (linksys, dlink, cisco, etc…) Omnispring supplies the wireless Ethernet radio, antenna and cabling.

Is the service mobile, so I can connect anywhere I go?

YES. To an extent. This is a fixed wireless network so as long you can see our tower and let us know you are moving the equipment it is mobile. Perfect for trailers, tractors, etc…

I hear about Cable/DSL all the time, why not Wireless?

Since the general public has false information on wireless reliability. The public should understand the wireless technology has matured over the last 10 + years and is very stable.
