Q1. How does Wireless Internet compare to 56k dialup?
A. Wireless internet
is 10 to 50 times faster than dialup.
Q2. How does Wireless Internet compare to Cable or DSL?
A. Wireless internet
is as fast or faster than cable to DSL.
Q3. What technology and hardware is used?
A. Wireless internet
hardware consists of a wireless radio that connects to
your computer or network router and an antenna that points
towards the wireless tower.

Q4. What equipment will I need?
A. You will need a
computer or network router with a network interface card.
Q5. How does rain, snow, or fog affect the service?
A. Weather conditions
do not affect or have very little affect on connectivity.
Q6. Do I need line-of-sight to connect to "Done By
Wireless"?
A. You need a near
line of sight connection. Since our service covers a given
area you do not need exact line of sight.

Q7.What is the difference between 2.4GHZ & 5.8GHZ?
A. These are two open
bands free to use in the spectrum. DBW uses 2.4Ghz to our
clients and back to our POP (Point of Presense) with
5.8Ghz.
Q8. What about security, can my data be intercepted?
A. DBW considers
security very highly. We use WEP encryption of 128bits.
This encrypts all data traveling in the air.
Q9. Is there an interference problem with other
electronics?
A. A. It is very
unlikely that our equipment will interfere with other
devices such as phones, cell phones or other electronic
equipment.

Q10. How long does it take to get service installed?
As soon as the order
is placed you can have service within 72 hours.
Q11. How easy is it to
increase my Wireless Internet speed?
A. Very easy. Just
ask your sales person and DBW can give you 5 Mbits to the
internet in a snap.
Q12. This is expensive
compared to dialup, is it worth it?
A. Our service is
very reasonable compared to other high speed internet
services. Our pricing easliy compares to cable and DSL.

Q13. Do I have to have
an antenna on my roof?
A. It could be
possible that an antenna will have to be placed on your
roof or side of your house or business. The antenna is
usually 1 square foot. It is very small and shaped like a
square or DSS antenna.
Q14. What if I live in
an apartment building?
A. If you are in an
apartment building and you have the ability to face the
tower with a near line of site connection you can use our
service.
Q15. What about
lightning?
A. In some areas with
high lightning probabilities we install lightning
arrestors if our installers feel that it is necessary.

Q16. Will it interfere
with pacemakers?
A. NO!!! There is not
enough power outputed by our service to disturb a
pacemakers operation.
Q17. Do I need to keep
my second phone line?
A. NO. No need to a
second phone line. Actually DBW will soon start offering
phone service over its wireless network to reduce your
phone charges local, long distance and international long
distance.
Q18. Is there a limit to
the amount of data I can transfer?
A. Depending on the
rate you purchase from us. Connections speeds vary on
plans.

Q19. Do I get a static
IP address?
A. You can get a
static or dynamic IP depending on the plan you purchase.
Q20. Can I run a server
on my Wireless Internet connection?
A. YES. You may run a
server on your wireless connection. This is your bandwidth
to do what you want (see AUP Acceptable usage policy).
Q21. Can I have my own
wireless network at the same time?
A. YES. Our network
will not interfere with your local wireless network.

Q22. How many computers
can I hook up to my connection?
A. If you have a
router you can hook as many as you want.
Q23. Can I share my
connection with my neighbor?
A. NO. This is a
dedicated connection for you only and cannot share
bandwidth with neighbors.
Q24. Do I get email
addresses or webspace with my account?
A. YES. You get 5
e-mails and 50 MB of web space.

Q25. How reliable is the
service? Any service guarantee?
A. Our service is as
reliable or more reliable than DSL or cable. We also have
our own monitoring abilities to watch your connection.
Q26. Can I supply my own
equipment?
A. You can supply a
router (linksys, dlink, cisco, etc...) DBW supplies the
wireless Ethernet radio, antenna and cabling.
Q27. Is the service
mobile, so I can connect anywhere I go?
A. YES. To an extent.
This is a fixed wireless network so as long you can see
our tower and let us know you are moving the equipment it
is mobile. Perfect for trailers, tractors, etc...
Q28. I hear about
Cable/DSL all the time, why not Wireless?
A. Since the general
public has false information on wireless reliability. The
public should understand the wireless technology has
matured over the last 10 + years and is very stable.
